On Saturday April 28, 2012 the Westide community joined together for a service project to clean up the local roadsides. The clean up included the Community Center Advisory Council, Westside Lion's club along with members from St. Mary's, Nanticoke, & Bivalve Churches. Also joining were children from the Westside after school program and parent volunteers. Volunteers met at the Nanticoke Christian Center at 8:30am for donuts, coffee, and juice and then set out for the clean up. Specific routes were assigned to teams of two covering Bivalve, Tyaskin, Nanticoke, Jesterville, and Wetipquin communities. Bags after bags of trash were takin to the local landfill during the clean up and as a result our community is a much cleaner and safer place to live. Upon finishing the day, all participants returned to the Christian Center for a cookout and community fellowship. Special thanks to all of those whom particated in this event and we hope you will join us again in the future.
